Isn’t that what lovers often do as they sit, perhaps even in silence, simply enjoying one another?

In this Vincentian Mindwalk let’s look at what we often don’t see.

As I think about contemplation, I realize that the phrase “the courage to be” might be adapted to understanding of contemplation. It takes courage to become aware of God’s long, loving look at me.

We sometimes define contemplation as “A long loving look.” I never thought of God takes a long, loving look at us. God contemplating me… with a long loving look!
