But I have a confession. I write these reflections for myself to make sense of issues I wrestle with. It’s about making connections that give life.
Our Unfinished Business – All Saints and All Souls
Many of us have had persons close to us die with whom we had unfinished business, a hurt that was never reconciled, an injustice that was never rectified, a bitterness that never softened. The pain of this can linger for a long time. We are left saying: “If only there was another chance!”
What is the Prequel of Today’s “Synodal Process”?

Do You Ignore “Nudges”?
In one sense God was the first “nudge”. Over the centuries God has used many to nudge us.

Does Jesus Want Us to Build Back Better?
Does God want us to build back better? The underlying concept is recovery from disaster. God certainly wants us to recover from the original sin of our self-centeredness

There’s a formula in broadcast news. An anchor tries to hook us with a teaser. They then turn to a colleague. “You are on the scene. Tell us what you are hearing.”
